Can you put too much air in a fish tank?

A betta should not be stressed and should be healthy enough to show strong colours and flowing fins. If your beta attacks, hunts or suffocates other betta fish with its fins, this is a sign that it is unhappy and you need to remove it from its tank.

The veils will prevent any other beta from knowing it is being charged.

If your selected male lacks energy and strength, the female Betta may think that he is infected with parasites or other disease-transmitting pathogens and has not a good immune system. Poor immune systems are hereditary, so it is important that female betas are able to determine male resistance so that their offspring have the best chance of survival. If you want to pick a male with bright colors, it tells the female that she is taking enough carotenoids to support her immune system, and the colouring indicates that she is a successful food seeker.

They found that female bettas tend to prefer red males, and this is an indicator that they have a healthy immune system that is associated with genes for good overall health. Due to their extreme aggressiveness towards other betas, Betta are often referred to as Siamese fighting fish.
